Cumberland Lake Resort (October 8-11)

On our vacation we stayed on Lake Cumberland in a two-story duplex. The above photo is the backside of our duplex from Lake Cumberland.

It was a very beautiful and quiet place to stay. This is a view of the lake from our upper screened-in deck. Al was actually able to walk down to the lake and go fishing. Despite the very low lake levels due to the summer drought, Al was able to catch a large fish. Unfortunately, I wasn't along with the camera so we don't have a photo. :(

The resort was on the other side of the mountain---The road to our vacation home was long, steep and curvy. It was actually in a "gated community" although we saw few residents. We enjoyed the 3 bedroom home that could actually sleep 12. It was amazing especially for the price!!
