Daily Blessings (May 16)

A happy smiling Lucy is such a sweet blessing. Believe it or not but when she has been well-fed, I can say "cheese" and she will smile. Crazy....but it tends to work. I can't get enough photos of this precious baby and she doesn't seem to mind!!

My two sons are also super sweet....not only to me but to each other. This is such a neat thing to see. Here they are actually coloring together. Of course I had to take a photo to capture the moment. They even posed for me. I love my job! Thank you, Lord.

Happy Mother's Day (May 11)

My boys surprised me this morning with sweet cards and fun gifts.

Here are my sweet children. I am so blessed indeed!!

After church on Mother's Day, we decided to drive to Mississippi to see Al's mom for Mother's Day.

On Monday we went to lunch at Chuck E. Cheese before heading back home to Kentucky. It was a fun visit.

Awana Closing Ceremony (May 7)

Our Church had their AWANA Closing Ceremony on May 7th. Al was the Commander this year and Jen was the Cubbies Director. Needless to say, we were involved in the ceremony. So, our dear friends Terry & Stephanie took care of Lucy. Thankfully, Lucy took the bottle without any fuss and seemed very satisfied.

Luke loved being an AWANA Cubbie. Here he is singing with his fellow Cubbies, Leaders & LITs.

Luke received the first book award for reciting all 30 or so verses in his handbook. He was so excited to receive the Cubbie bear to signify this accomplishment.

Here is Luke with his Cubbie small group leaders--Mrs. Julie, Miss Tyler & Mrs. Ashley.

Luke cannot wait until August when Cubbies begins again!

Lucy at One Month (April/May 2008)

Lucy began smiling at 4 weeks and her grins have gotten bigger and bigger. This mommy can't get enough of Lucy's many sweet expressions.

Bud (April 2008)

Al and the boys were doing some yard work and found a frog. Luke instantly took him on as his new pet. He named him "Bud the Frog."

Poor Bud was captured by a preschooler for the entire Saturday morning.

He tried to jump to freedom but this three year old boy would not settle for that!!

Now every frog that we find is "BUD."

The Circus!! (April 26)

If the slide show has already played, click on "view all images" or refresh this page.

We heard the circus was coming to town (actually to the RSEC at Murray Sate) so we got tickets to see the Greatest Show on Earth! We had great seats--We are on the front row of the chair seats pretty much right in front of the action. You can see the row of folding chairs in front of us....these stayed empty the entire time.

My favorite photos were the ones that I could capture of my boys. Their eyes were glued to the circus ring for just about the entire two hours!! Priceless expressions from their first Ringing Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus.

And my sweet baby girl rested peacefully in Aunt Stephanie & Mommy's arms. The noise didn't seem to bother her a bit!!

Brotherly Love (April 2008)

The best pictures are not the posed pictures but the ones that you just happen to catch in just the right moment. Here the boys are lying down on the carpet watching tv together. Luckily, they didn't let go of each other when they said "Cheese!"

Diggin' for worms! (April 20)

One fine Saturday morning, my boys were all outside digging in the dirt. And to their delight....they found WORMS!! Al called me out to take some photos of thier earthy friends!!

Notice who is wearing the glove.....my dear Luke who like his mommy is not really fond of getting dirty either.

My SWEET Boys (April 2008)

There's nothing much sweeter than this!! I love my boys. They are not only sweet to me but they are so sweet to each other. Of course they have their moments....but they are just crazy about each other!! Aunt Stephanie and the Chandler clan decided to go to Belew's in Aurora on thier opening day of the season to eat their yummy hamburgers and their delicious ice cream. Needless to say, none of us had trouble cleaning our plates!!! Aunt Stephanie treated all of us to ice cream!! There is something that is sweeter than ice cream....Aunt Stephanie!

Although my boys are a lot alike, they are still very unique. One of those unique qualities is how they enjoy their food. My precious John David digs right in whether he has a fork or a spoon. He is a firm beliver in the saying, "Finger lickin' good!" John David doesn't ever have to tell you what he had for a meal.....because he is usually wearing it on his bib, face and sometimes his hair!! He better not ever try to sneak a cookie!!

Luke on the other hand is a very neat eater. He does not like to get messy and therefore always wants to use a spoon or a fork. When he finishes his food, Luke most always has a pretty clean face. These are some photos of the boys enjoying cupcakes at their friend Ashley's birthday party.

Nothing but sweetness!!
