It is almost 1:00 am and we have settled down in our room (308). Lucy is rooming in with us and she is passed out right now!!! She is zonked because of her long day. She's not real hungry, but we all know that will soon change. Here's some more info on her. In addition to the 7lbs 14oz, she was 20 1/2 inches long. Beautiful pink colored skin and a cute little bow in the hair!!! I don't remember seeing that bow during the delivery. :) btw- I had the opportunity to "assist" in the delivery!! Lucy is so precious!!! I've already lost count of how many kisses she's received from her daddy.
Mommy is doing great!! She's got a little burst of energy right now. She really gets excited over filling out the paper work, going through the free goodies we get from the hospital, etc. :) She is also excited to be able to walk again. :)
I spoke with my Grandma Helen Redick (my mother's mother) earlier in the evening to tell her about the news and lo and behold guess what I found out!! Her grandmother's name was Lucy and her grandmother had a sister named Grace!!! So, Lucy's name comes from her great-great-great grandmother, Lucy Meeks!! How neat is that???!!!
We're heading to bed now. Thank you for all of your wonderful notes and comments. Keep them coming, because there is more to come tomorrow and the many days ahead. :)

Hey guys! Can't believe how good God can be! We are so thankful that she is here and healthy. The boyfriends won't stand a chance with two older brothers. We love you all and can't wait for a play date with Evan and little Lucy.
I was driving Rick crazy, while you had us in suspense! We are sooo excited for you guys! Lucy Grace looks beautiful, love the name! God is Good! Love you guys can't wait to see her in person! I know big brothers are going to have a blast with this one!

LUCY GRACE IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! Congratulations! The boys look ecstatic now that they are finally able to hold her in their arms. Abby is so happy that she has a little girl cousin to play with now! She has already packed up all her clothes that she's too big for now and wants Lucy to have them! We will be there tonight to smother her with kisses! We love you and are so very happy for you! Such a beautiful growing family! See you in a few hours!
